don't worry. all i ask is that you love and support me.

PISCES - February 20th - March 20th
Life: 2006 invites you to develop your talent in exhilarating ways. Ever since winter of last year, you've been longing to expand your horizons. Getting an advanced degree, travelling abroad, or publishing a book are among the exciting possibilities. By the time November arrives, you will have amassed so much experience that you'll become a hot commodity on the job market. Finding your dream career is a distinct possibility. True, you may not have a lot of spare time this year, but that's because you'll be focusing all of your energy on creating a lifestyle that is physically, spiritually, and emotionally rewarding. A Full Moon Eclipse on September 7th allows you to make a tremendous personal breakthrough.
Love: Relationships and the emotional areas of your life need close attention in April and September. Your desire for independence could prompt you to push a partner away, just when you need their support the most. Just remember that while you may have to sacrifice some freedom for the sake of your amour, you'll be getting so much more in return. Your sex appeal will sizzle throughout the year, making you a hot property on the singles market. If you're already in a relationship, people will still flirt shamelessly with you. Keep the focus on your partner, as their stabilising influence will prove more precious than gold.
Loot: Your best earning prospects come in late March, when you'll be able to command a hefty price for your services. Ask for a raise or apply for a high-paying job in the first days of spring. A New Moon Eclipse on March 29th could find you making more money than you ever dreamed possible, provided you're brave enough to demand it. Overseas ventures could be very profitable for you, especially during the first eleven months of the year. You could also win a lawsuit sometime between January and November, which will put some much-needed cash in your hands.
Luck: Fortune comes when you venture out of your comfort zone this year. Taking a trip abroad could have fabulous results. You may even decide to live overseas, sensing that your prospects will be much better in a foreign country. Going back to school is another possibility for you, one that could open the door to an exciting career. If you've ever wanted to write a book or publish a piece of writing, 2006 is the year to do so. You could attract a wide and appreciative audience for some work that is close to your heart.
The Fishes: Traditional Pisces Traits: Imaginative and sensitive, Compassionate and kind, Selfless and unworldly, Intuitive and sympathetic...On the dark side....Escapist and idealistic, Secretive and vague, Weak-willed and easily led
Pisceans possess a gentle, patient, malleable nature. They have many generous qualities and are friendly, good natured, kind and compassionate, sensitive to the feelings of those around them, and respond with the utmost sympathy and tact to any suffering they encounter. They are deservedly popular with all kinds of people, partly because their easygoing, affectionate, submissive natures offer no threat or challenge to stronger and more exuberant characters. They accept the people around them and the circumstances in which they find themselves rather than trying to adapt them to suit themselves, and they patiently wait for problems to sort themselves out rather than take the initiative in solving them. They are more readily concerned with the problems of others than with their own.
Their natures tend to be too otherworldly for the practical purposes of living in this world as it is. They sometimes exist emotionally rather than rationally, instinctively more than intellectually (depending on how they are aspected). They long to be recognized as greatly creative. They also dislike disciple and confinement. The nine-to-five life is not for them. Any rebellion they make against convention is personal, however, as they often times do not have the energy or motivation to battle against the Establishment.
Pisceans tend to withdraw into a dream world where their qualities can bring mental satisfaction and sometimes, fame and financial reward for they are extremely gifted artistically. They are also versatile and intuitive, have quick understanding, observe and listen well, and are receptive to new ideas and atmospheres. All these factors can combine to produce remarkable creativity in literature, music and art. They may count among their gifts mediumistic qualities which can give them a feeling that their best work comes from outside themselves, "Whispered beyond the misted curtains, screening this world from that." Even when they cannot express themselves creatively they have a greater than average instinct for, and love of, beauty in art and nature, a catlike appreciation of luxury and pleasure, and a yearning for new sensations and travel to remote, exotic places.
They are never egotistical in their personal relationships and give more than they ask from their friends. They are sexually delicate, in the extreme almost asexual, and most Pisceans would want a relationship in which the partner's mind and spirit rather than the body resonated with their own. Unfortunately they can be easily misled by a lover who courts them delicately and in marriage makes them unhappy by a coarser sexuality than they expected. They are nevertheless intensely loyal and home-loving and will remain faithful.
In their employment they are better working either by themselves or in subordinate positions. Their talents are individual in a commercial business or similar undertaking. They would be afraid to manage more than a small department, worrying always that they would fail in a crisis. They can make fair secretaries and bookkeepers.
Their sympathy equips them for work in charities catering for the needy, as nurses looking after the sick and as veterinary surgeons caring for animals. As librarians or astronomers they can satisfy their mental wanderlust, and their fondness for "faraway places with strange-sounding names" may turn them into sailors or travellers. Many architects and lawyers are Pisceans, and when the creative abilities are combined with gifts of imitation and the ability to enter into the feelings of others, Pisceans find their fulfillment on the stage. Their psychic and spiritual qualities can lead them into careers in the church or as mediums and mystics. They may find an outlet for their creativity as caterers, and are said to make good detectives because they can imagine themselves in the place of criminals and understand how their minds would work. In technical occupations they are well employed in dealing with anaesthetics, fluids, gases and plastics. Because of their lively versatility and inability to concentrate overmuch on any one project, Pisceans often simultaneously follow more than one occupation.

PROBLEMS THAT MAY ARISE FOR YOU, AND THEIR SOLUTIONS
As with all sun signs, we all have unique traits to our personalities. When these traits are suppressed, or unrealized, problems will arise. However, with astrology we can examine the problem and assess the proper solution based on the sun sign characteristics. As a pisces you may see things below that really strike home. Try the solution, you most likely will be amazed at the results. If you find yourself on the receiving end of the negatives below, it is because you are failing to express the positive.
Problem: You find yourself being walked on or over in all manner of ways.
Solution: Try to reorient your thinking and assert yourself in a quiet, reserved manner that is more impressive than blustering.
Problem: Never seeming to have enough money to round out the week with much less the month even though your salary is on a par with everyone else'.
Solution: You are prone to act as if you have more than you actually do and tend to spend that which you do not have or need for other things. Forego some of the parties and make a strict budget to put yourself on.
Problem: A strong sense of despair not shared by family and friends, thus leaving you with that all alone feeling.
Solution: You must come out of yourself and open up to those around you, you have the power to inspire others making you an important part of the human race; take your rightful place.
Problem: Causing others to be quarrelsome or to walk out on you all together.
Solution: The upstream fish may be pushing too hard for someone to meet your ideals and could wind up pushing people right out of your life. Try lightning up.

I'm Spent
I don't care too much for money. Money can't buy me love. Same goes for time. I'm with Plato... "no human thing is of serious importance."
The lack of real wealth, found only in profound love, that's the poverty of love i most want to cure (Faithful will be richly blessed - prov 28.20) It's almost as though you have to receive it before you learn to recognize it, and you have to be filled with it before you are ready/have enough to give it
The heart seems to have a natural vacancy, to which no worldly thing can satisfy. As C.S. Lewis commented, this is evidence we were made for another world.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. Father Denis Edward O’Brien, Sergeant, USMC

Dear Friends - I think this only begins to give us a glimpse of why we are fighting in
Iraq. I hope that you are as inspired as I am. Gerardo
We the sons of Mesopotamia, land of the prophets, resting place of the holy imams, the leaders of civilization and the creators of the alphabet, the cradle of arithmetic: on our land, the first law put in place by mankind was written; in our nation, the most noble era of justice in the politics of nations was laid down; on our soil, the followers of the prophet and the saints prayed, the philosophers and the scientists theorised and the writers and poets created.
Recognizing God's right upon us; obeying the call of our nation and our citizens; responding to the call of our religious and national leaders and the insistence of our great religious authorities and our leaders and our reformers, we went by the millions for the first time in our history to the ballot box, men and women, young and old, on January 30 2005, remembering
the pains of the despotic band's sectarian oppression of the majority; inspired by the suffering of Iraq's martyrs - Sunni and Shiite, Arab, Kurd and Turkomen, and the remaining brethren in all communities - inspired by the injustice against the holy cities in the popular uprising and against the marshes and other places; recalling the agonies of the national oppression in the massacres of Halabja, Barzan, Anfal and against the Faili Kurds; inspired by the tragedies of the Turkomen in Bashir and the suffering of the people of the western region, whom the terrorists and their allies sought to take hostage and prevent from participating in the elections and the establishment of a society of peace and brotherhood and cooperation so
we can create a new Iraq, Iraq of the future, without sectarianism, racial strife, regionalism, discrimination or isolation.
Terrorism and "takfir" (declaring someone an infidel) did not divert us from moving forward to build a nation of law. Sectarianism and racism did not stop us from marching together to strengthen our national unity, set ways to peacefully transfer power, adopt a manner to fairly distribute wealth and give equal opportunity to all.
We the people of Iraq, newly arisen from our disasters and looking with confidence to the future through a democratic, federal, republican system, are determined - men and women, old and young - to respect the rule of law, reject the policy of aggression, pay attention to women and their rights, the elderly and their cares, the children and their affairs, spread the culture of diversity and defuse terrorism.
We are the people of Iraq, who in all our forms and groupings undertake to establish our union freely and by choice, to learn yesterday's lessons for tomorrow, and to write down this permanent constitution from the high values and ideals of the heavenly messages and the developments of science and human civilization, and to adhere to this constitution, which shall preserve for Iraq its free union of people, land and sovereignty.
Quick to listen. Slow to speak. Slow to become angry. What the World Needs Now, more than an end to war, we want an end to the beginning of all wars. FDR

Traveling with the Australian Spirit Association we had our share of downshifting with the Aussies and their many Architectural-points-of-great
Toexplain the rather bizarre schedule, we're a company of 26 performers (cheerleaders and dancers), two coaches, and six chaperons. The girls on our team vary in age; our youngest (most talented and adorable) members are only 8 years old! I'm confident that we will be thoroughly entertained by anything that comes our way so definitely let me know if you have any ideas. The rough outline of our plans, consists of various performances and clinics, plus a few tours with the entire program. We arrive early June 14 and performances are set to end at 1:30 pm. The younger girls have a photo shoot following; the rest of us are free all afternoon!
June 15
'Today' show performance, followed by clinics, free time in the
afternoon, night tour of Sydney Tower
June 16
Day trip to the Blue Mountains (Scenic World, Edge Cinema, The Three Sisters)
June 17
4:30 departure for Toyota Park, Cronulla for NRL pre-game performance
Sharks v Roosters
June 18
Clinics at Olympic Park, 'Sportsworld' airing
Night club performance Darling Harbour
June 19
Clinics at Olympic Park
NRL half-time performance (Bulldogs v Raiders)
Night Club Performance
June 20
Morning Harbour Bridgeclimb
Dearest mates,
We traveled two days to arrive (yes, I slept almost the entire time) in one of the most refreshing and welcoming places I've ever visited. Held and fed an alligator, coached clinics, taught a guys rubgy team to 'stunt,' went on a radio show - Kim set me up for this win a date with the Texas Cheerleader promo which won me an evening with a fireman tri-athlete at a beautiful restaurant in Darwin on the beach.
Clinics are going well, Ah im still alive. very much alive! Can't even tell you how incredible it has been to be part of this ALL. Sydney, the harbour (we climbed the bridge-breathtaking) and the nightlife, have by far hosted my favorite moments. we're currently in brisbane, performing at themeparks and in steve erwin's croc pit. to catch you up a bit from darwin, the firefighter date (www.hot100fm.com.au), we ate at la beach (and were treated wonderfully) but when it was time to part ways our driver got another call so we were picked up by the firetruck (fully loaded with the guys on duty) so we made a stop by the fire house before being dropped off (in a matter of seconds - they received a call and we were thrown out). our hip hop performance that night was one of my favorite venues to date (a place called discovery that reminded me of the carnival cruise theatre - they ask us to stay for a second show and hosted us upstairs in a killer vip room. today i held a roo and a koala, and dropped from the largest free fall ride in the world (as of 1999) but above all attractions, venues, and performances, the Aussies amaze me. they have treated us so well; the conversations are humbling, refreshing, and enlightening. the kids here amaze me wanting to soak this up so badly.
We may get our first day off (yet) this weekend. i love the pace, the spontaneous calls/requests we get, the response, and the adventures. and i feel like i could tour for years. i finally got an aussie cell. Aside from Team commitments, I'm totally flexible and am definitely up for all
festivities! peace, joy, laughter and love from oz. I'm absolutely thrilled right now. I think I'm about to fall...

Out of Business
Like one-third of our college, I transferred into the Business School in my second semester (following a short stint toward the field of Journalism). Like most McCombs students, I also entered with an obnoxious level of ambition, and am exiting with rather high expectations and high standards. There's no shortage of evidence that good ideas encourage the good relations and stamina to make things happen.
The prestige of education is acknowledged by corporations world-wide and attracts recruiters from some of the 'best companies' in the world. Junior year, I set out to represent the University following a powerful drive to maximize the potential of its resources.
Obviously, that didn't work out the way we envisioned, but what evolved along the way brought us accomplished new, bigger goals without ever reaching that original destination. There's so much to be learned about opportunity The 'who we know' theory is empowering but it's what we're willing to do to push our relationships and boundaries that governs outcome. I leave these acres, eager for open doors. Where high standards prevail, lives a win for all.

Crowded Minds
The company of brilliantly talented artists at SXSW, many of whom (many of the brightest) will be forever hidden from the masses, has spurred a lot of thoughts about collective judgment.
Add more people to street corner, more people will stop. There are ways to take advantage of the power of imitation but the problem is, we are all so bad at seeing and hearing wrong in our own ideas. When everyone is imitating, you can't tap into knowledge anyone has. What's really going on gets blurred in the masses.
New things emerge constantly, reaching for our time and attention. We've gotta take time to pause, observe, absorb, and let things surface by design. Filtering only what 'strikes us' will eventually unveil a mystery that's tailored to our being, and worth its brewing time in milliseconds.
If only society had a suggestion box, a place for all to have equal opportunity for input. Put enough people together, and the errors fall away. So often, it's the people with less 'intelligence', using different charismas, perspectives and new ideas who make the group smarter. What they know is different, observed independently. When the boundaries are expanded, insights from others evolve the way we think, where we go, what we find, and who we become. Moving between these institutional and individual sources of wisdom and inspiration integrates our reliability, weaves together our roadmap, and develops our manifesto.
On a circular mill we attend to the familiar, measuring distance towards original goals, and outdated targets. We're too busy getting things done to strategize and define what could be done. It's as thought it's better to fail at convention than to succeed unconventionally.
I'd rather not solicit opinions, but ask people to forecast success, forgoing so many problems that are simply superficial and contextual. Oh to avoid info overload, because our target is clear, and pass by streams of info, because they do not adhere!
Someone at the Interactive session mentioned that technology isn't introducing new things, it's introducing things with new benefits. I'm no gadget but I'd like to work like that.

Addicts
One can do anything, but not everything.
I've almost completely confirmed that everyone is addicted to something. These coping mechanisms we resort to will in turn breed the best, and the worst, of us.
If love is a drug, I'm quite sure we're all addicts.

Invisible Children
"We gathered together and laid together in an effort to unveil the worlds eyes to the greatest humanitarian crisis in the world. We united in an evening that defied the worlds standards of protesting and laid waste to ideas of a polarized America. We experienced an evening so rich that pictures and words could never do it justice. The world moved that evening and we were changed.
Everyone there understood why the sacrifice was worth making and understood their role in changing our world. As i walked around, I got a chance to look at peoples art projects and read their letters. I was astounded. Nearly two thousand people laid down in Austin, not out of anger, but out of love. The crowd seemed to stretch out endlessly across the grass and they LOVED these children halfway across the world."

You may have heard about the documentary covering the situation, compiled by three dudes who traveled to Africa and were forever changed by the impact. I strongly encourage you to invest one hour and see for yourself why people are being stirred. The DVD is being shown all over Austin, across the US and beyond. I have a copy as well so if you’re interested just let me know.
Raise awareness about the longest running war in Africa, and one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world today, in which 1.7 million people are forcibly displaced, and an estimated 20- 50,000 CHILDREN are being abducted to fight as soldiers. Tens of thousands of children commute nightly to hide from the violence, and approximately 130 people are violently killed in Northern Uganda every day.
Many people cry out that the government should 'do something,' and that is why they pledge. But to me, not knowing what the government can actually 'do' apart from patching by aid and/or force, it's a call to have more people aware, and therefore praying. At some point we realize the limitations of what we can do elsewhere, and at a greater time, we realize the infinite amount of things we can do right here, around us. Regardless of how you are moved, I encouraged you to join us, in support these helpless victims in northern Uganda, and around the world.
No effort is too small - No effect too large.
Considering this (that the state of life in far away villages can be exposed and distributed in only the time it takes to produce a documentary), there's no such thing anymore, as hidden holocausts. The same question lingers from previous episodes in history, as the Holocaust rages. If we'd have known then, what would we have done?
Because we know now, and now we must do.
Because we know now, and now we must do.
Parashoot
your self-perspective has become extrospective.
your happiness measured, by how you are perceived.
but when you wake and find yourself empty, misdirected
know that I'm here loving you, wilder than you ever believed
in the meantime I'm just watching you fly
i'll keep brushing by you, like the clouds, wondering why
you know - the feeling you get when you see someone sleeping in a very uncomfortable position. and you just want to help them, straighten their head a bit, see them relax, and then let them on their way. (that's the feeling*)
Never forget why you are loved. I was thrilled to come across this note to self, a comment on a blog somewhere out there in the world, sitting right beside me, 'The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can be. The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not twist them with our own image - otherwise, we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.'

Painted Love
our hearts can't stretch unless we open them.
and with open vulnerabilty others come in.
i don't believe in lost love.
love never fails.
i don't believe in love gone to waste.
love reallocates.
and when we learn to love just anyone
the soul reveals that life has begun
and with open vulnerabilty others come in.
i don't believe in lost love.
love never fails.

lost in this country.
so frustrated.
so tired of hoarding.
tired of being a hoarder.
we treat our dogs better than we treat out neighbors.
we stuff our faces, with others emaciated.
"You will fly and you will crawl
God knows even angels fall
No such thing as you lost it all
God knows even angels fall
And it’s a secret that no one tells
One day it’s heaven one day it’s hell
Its no fairy tale take it from me
Thats the way it’s supposed to be"
