Thanks

First, thanks to all of the thoughtful comments about our Kobe.  We are grateful for the support and genuine compassion of others.  It is so quiet without him; Lucy has no romping partner and his red squeaky ball just sits quietly in the corner and his food bowl remains empty.

In this picture, he was looking out the window overlooking the driveway, to see if his dad was home from work.

We are trying to focus on our house.  I will post some lighting pictures this weekend.  Today, garage doors were installed and two rooms were painted.  We continue to wait for the bathrooms to be tiled and grouted.  The tile has sat unfinished for 3 1/2 weeks.  Husband and I are thinking about finishing it ourselves...we really want to move into this house this year!

Also, the front door needs to be stained and sealed (actually it should have been done about 2 months ago, not that we are counting or anything).  This is a real mahogany door and it is important to care for it properly.  I found this door online at a website called http://www.millworksforless.com/.  The door was delivered in a big crate on a semi.  Now, it just sits exposed to the elements while it gets damaged with nicks and bangs here and there.  I am not sure why it was packaged and handled so carefully, obviously that is all unnessasary.

Our deck is really nice.  The man who built it said we can drive a car on it because he builds them to be solid.  We do not plan to drive a car on it, but we do plan to have family and friends standing on it.  We are so excited to move into this house.  We are going loco!!  I will post some pictures of the place we are staying until the house is finished.  Believe me, after you see, you will want to come and help finish this house for us.

Goodbye for now!
Amy
