Brighten up your Monday - favorite images from my favorite blogs

Today is just a blah Monday and the weather outside is far from inspiring. I thought I'd do another installment of "Favorite Images from my Favorite Blogs." I started this feature because I realized that as a blogger, I rarely had the time to peruse the blogs that inspired me to start blogging, or that I'd discovered while blogging. I hope you enjoy and that it ads a little brightness if it's gloomy where you are like it is here...

(blogs featured in no particular order)

Gotta love Swedish style

This bit of heaven on earth is Lake Como, Italy
Images above from the lovely, La Dolce Vita

I want a kitchen that gets such great light - maybe it would help me wake up in the mornings

Great sconces on either side of the bed...
The three above images are from the inspiring, Cococozy.

Take a look at the room above again. It doesn't jump out at you at first but I think that's why it's so great. This room is so serene and calm. Personally I find it very hard to feel relaxed, or focus and get any work done, if a room is cluttered. I feel like in this room I could either completely clear my mind, and/or really focus on the task at hand. Beautiful.

The lovely nature-inspired wallpapers of Wingbud

I was recently introduced to Swedish artist/designer Lena's work and I think it's worth a share! Being from a farm, I appreciate the natural forms and organic lines she uses. Which do you like?

bleeding hearts - so pretty!

Love this one above

Pastural Swedish interiors - so pretty!

Monday already. I actually did have a restful and productive weekend as I'm trying to take it easy before my marathon this Saturday. These lovely photos should put you in a serene state of mind...

A Swedish interior that isn't all white! Love the jewel tones...

Maybe if I'm really good, Santa will get me this house!

I'm afraid I have a lot of redeeming to do though in the next week!

I love this cozy oversized chair.

love that sea foam green on the cupboard

I'm glad the house doesn't have all-white floors throughout. Don't get me wrong, I love the look, but the natural wood color just makes the whole place seem more believable

Swedish serenity!

Oh my. After looking at these pictures I'm starting to think that my apartment has far too much clutter, and way too few "proper places" for everything. These images really iterate what a big impact a thoughtful color palette can have on one's space. Sometimes I feel that in order to achieve this I would have to toss everything out and just start from scratch; only buying or collecting items that fall into the color palette I've dictated. Have you achieved this in your space? If so, I'd love to know how you summoned the control!

One of my new favorite images of all time. So cheerful and pretty!

Look! Open storage that isn't an eyesore!

I don't know if anyone really lives here... ;)

You can never, ever have too many shelves installed on the wall. I've never regretted any that I've added!

You can put a lot of stuff in a little space with the right storage solutions

I love this workspace. I've been working on a small (but cute) desk since I moved, and sadly, it's just not working. I really need a large surface like this desk.

I really love the little rolling coffee table- great for small spaces
