Happy Friday everyone! Tuesday and Wednesday sorta merged for me, and I don't know where the week went. Anyway, I've had these images from an old ad campaign from Brunschwig & Fils, and I just love the whole enchanted look of these sets.

I like the fireplace treatment in this one, I don't know if those are real sticks lined up vertically or a screen with an image, but I have never seen it before and think it's a great idea for a non-working fireplace.

Designers at home: kelly wearstler interior design

We have all seen her.. she is like an interior designer goddess/supermodel. Her work is amazing and sometimes over the top. But you have to look... I recently found a grouping of photos of her home and had to share them with you. I am always so intrigued by designers homes, it is the place that they are allowed to be free and true to themselves. You can see that most of her home that is pictured is pretty relaxed as far as color goes.

On to her work. She has an extensive portfolio and I find her hotel work is often my favorite.


















She always mixes styles. textures and color to suit her needs.












One of my other favorite things about her is that she creates some of my favorite fabrics partnered with Lee Jofa and F. Schumacher.






This is just a glimpse at the amount of eye candy that is available about Kelly's work.

Meeting Windsor Smith..

Okay so I was a little excited!! I actually got to meet a designer whose work I adore! I was in Las Vegas for World Market yesterday and Windsor Smith walked up to the Kravet Contract booth where I was talking with some people. I was a little star struck! The House Beautiful picture of the entry way in her home has been on my idea board for months. Windsor's use of color and mix of styles is inspiring, I love her fabric collection for Kravet and I am anxiously awaiting more!

She was really nice and took the time to take a picture with me. I had a few moments to chat with her assistant Theresa who was super sweet and full of information. For instance I did not know that Windsor has a line of furniture - hello!! Super cute pieces. Check them out here...

A great product for all those knitters out there!

I'm not a knitter, but I am a crocheter, and I love my luxury yarns in all those cozy textures and delicate colors - so needless to say, A LOT of my scarves go without washing for a little longer than they should.

Actually, my everyday, can't-live-without scarf is a kashmir pashmina. I bought in Florence three years ago for $12 euro and I use it for everything from a shawl to a bedspread. For the price I doubt it's quality kashmir but the garment has only gotten softer over time and I still find it as beautiful as the day I bought it.
